Thinking Outside the Fox

Gifted kids don’t fit into boxes. Their education shouldn’t either.

Hi there! My name is Jessica Fox – nice to meet you! I’m an elementary educator, GT specialist, and enthusiastic lifelong learner. I’ve spent years designing enrichment and curriculum for gifted students that feels engaging, not exhausting. I built Thinking Outside the Fox as a space for teachers and parents looking for creative, meaningful ways to challenge and support gifted learners.

Credentials:

  • BA in Elementary Education
  • MA in Instructional Technology
  • MA in Gifted & Talented Education

What You’ll Find Here

A curated collection of resources built for gifted and high-ability learners in elementary school:

  • High-level enrichment tasks that go beyond “finish early” work.
  • Teacher-friendly tools that fit into real classrooms with real time limits.
  • Parent guides for navigating the quirks and joys of gifted childhood.
  • Book lists, reflection pieces, and creative projects for bright, curious minds.

My Approach

Gifted education shouldn’t be “more work” – it should be different work.

  • Inclusive, not elitist
  • Creative, not repetitive
  • Challenging, not exhausting
  • Compassionate, not clinical
  • Centered on real human kids

I’m glad you’re here!

Whether you’re a parent, a classroom teacher, or a specialist, my hope is that you’ll find something here that makes gifted education feel a little more joyful and a little less overwhelming.

Here’s to thinking outside the fox, together!
